Laramar's Software Support Team January 2022 Promotions

13 January, 2022

Please join us in congratulating Joe Shamburg and Megan Avis on their recent promotions within the Software Support team.

Joe Shamburg has joined the Software Support team as a Service Desk Analyst to start this year! Joe started with Laramar in December of 2019 as an Assistant Portfolio Manager with the Denver Local team. He quickly made a positive impact and was promoted to be Community Manager for the Glendale portfolio in July 2020. During his time there, he created and implemented many creative solutions to add efficiencies to the day-to-day processes. He was a go-to in Denver to help other properties that were short staffed and was always willing to go help with physical evictions, so it’s no wonder he was the Q1 2021 Recognize award winner for Build Trust! His know-how as a Community Manager, experience within the Local by Laramar portfolio, and intuitive troubleshooting will definitely come in handy as a Service Desk Analyst. On a personal note, Joe is married with two children and is a Colorado native who enjoys hiking, biking, running, walks, and camping in the great outdoors. He is a fan of all things Broncos, Rockies, and Avalanche. He is a supporter of Colorado’s great craft beer, loves to bake, and dabbles in woodworking when he can. Congrats Joe!

Megan Avis has been promoted to be Laramar’s Software Support Manager! She joined Laramar in August of 2018 as a Software Support Analyst, where she was immediately integral in the transition away from an external help desk to bring Laramar Software Support fully in-house. She has since closed over 9,000 tickets supporting Laramar properties, operations, and corporate teams across many systems. She excelled in her level of customer service and understanding of the technology, and was promoted to a Senior Software Support Analyst in January of 2020. In that role, she continued her growth by owning the property build process, providing ongoing training to team Software, and working on system implementations and upgrades. Her quick learning, vendor relationships, follow through, can-do attitude, impactful leadership, and extensive knowledge base make Megan a great fit for her new role. Congrats Megan!

Such exciting growth for the Software Support team. Looking forward to 2022!
